la vie en rose évanescente

decided not to go to work like a disco/rockstar today. hehe. was feeling "la vie en rose", except my pink is so faded and washed out it could pass for... a nude pink. anyway this blouse is surprise surprise from tjmaxx (hobos can't afford designer :[) - found it last year but it's really pretty. imo anyway. it's this chiffon/sheer material with ridiculous ruffles, lace, sequins, and borderline too girly for my taste. meaning... i paired it with my thrifted d&g skirt (hunted down like a true hobo) and go-to man shoes. whee. !

using the word hobo massively today because i had a hobo incident recently /
had my lost phone returned to me by a kindhearted semi-hobo...

top - tjmaxx | skirt - thrifted d&g | boots - thrifted | accessories - f21

oh. forgot to mention i was feeling french. something about silk/chiffon material, curled hair, & faded pinks makes me think french. la vie en rose... anyway. i hopped by madeleine patisserie, and if you live in nyc this place is a must-visit . it smells like french bakery heaven once you're within 100 feet of the place and the macarons are to die for. pictured : passionfruit (yellow), strawberry (red orange), and hazelnut (brown). my favorite was the hazelnut hands down =)

  7. Your outfit is perfect. I love the girly look mixed with tougher pieces like your bag and boots. And that skirt is to die for! Maybe I should start thrifting...

...and I love your hair, too! Okay, maybe I should just follow you.
