outfit combos and some sushi

vest - my mommy made it!!| silk top - tjmaxx | jacket - f21 | tennis shoes - new balance | boots - payless

threw on the cool boots that had been collecting dust and then realized i was about to embark on a 3 mile journey. actually these wedges are probably comfortable enough to walk in for more than an hour or so but doing that would probably really destroy the soles of the shoe. that's just... no. anyway i love my running shoes and the red/green laces that don't ever need to be tied (elastic shoelaces, check) anyway i feel like i can wear them with anything even though they're a tad frumpy / ugly. oh can i just say my mom made that vest? it's probably one of the most versatile pieces in my closet, so well constructed too. too bad she refuses to teach me how to sew as she claims i will waste away trying to piece together fabrics in incomprehensible ways. probably completely true... ohhh but the possibilities :[

met up with a friend at vine sushi in the upper west side by columbia...
some really delicious stuff. pictured is the amazing house tempura roll.
