Threw on an old velvet shirt (handsewn by my mom!) that I stole from my sister's closet. Major throwback. Worn with a light blue denim-wash studded cutout dress and various gold accessories, including my favorite leaf-inspired ear cuff, and the handy A-Wang Brenda. The jacket was a $10-ish thrift shop gem, completely faux fur lined and incredibly warm :)

floaty pastels x vintage chanel mesh sandals
Sunnyvale (Norcal!) is SO perfect for floaty pastels even on a cloudy day. Ughhhhh I hate to leave =( Okay, not to re-hash but I love TheRealReal. I am slowly transitioning my wardrobe into a dangerous territory of 20% realreal vs 80% regular normal purchases. Well... not quite there yet but soon... one day ;) Scored these Chanel mesh sandals in excellent condition in my size (37!) and they are actually wide enough in the front (who doesn't want hobbit feet) that my toes don't scream bloody murder post-wear. :D The gold mesh straps make me so happy I could cry. Metal rocker enough but pairs exceedingly well given the gold color. I canNOT wait to wear this in warmer weather! I imagine they'll be sitting in dust bags for a while though upon return to NYC...

ugly sweater day in bodega bay

Fine, not that ugly of a sweater. This is a reindeer sweater that I sniped from Dad's closet, paired with a coral jean-skort borrowed from Mommy. Hehehe. :D

I like traveling light, and as a general rule of thumb I limit myself to one carry-on when I'm going home. I always try

attic adventures
Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Went upstairs this weekend to try to shoot on the real rooftop of my building but unfortunately there was an emergency block. Skylight worked out okay I guess. Those narrow sides are pretty treacherous so I just inched my way over through the classic butt-slide. Yeah. Graceful.

sweater dress sundays

This dress is definitely bordering trashy but whatever. I'm going to call it a "sweater" dress" but in reality it's pure rainbow fishnet goodness from Ebay (China). Got it for $7.

pencil box clutch x paisley gradient
Hello, new favorite shirt! A thrift shop gem in the men's shirt section. It's all the perfect midnight twilight shades of blue and purple anyone could imagine. Paired with my boot wedges from 3 years ago (thanks, Payless for having awesome footwear that nobody else likes :D) and Chanel backpack + newest CVS find - a pencil box that can be doubled as one of those clear box clutches. Except this one, friends, comes with a little key so no more worrying about items falling out!! Trying to figure out how to attach a strap to it, when I do I will make a DIY transparent box clutch tutorial. Supposedly. Get excited!

rainbow tribute: Camilla
Rainbow = by far the best color out there. Dictionary.com / wikipedia informs us all that rainbows are "meterological phenomenons" which sounds vapid and over-complicated but pretty cool.
Happened to stumble upon Australian designer Camilla's Frank's ready-to-wear collection a la Vogue. This amazing designer even had a show inspired by the Avatar movie back in 2010! (Jumped a little in excitement about that). I am now having nightmares about not having the $$ to ever purchase my own Camilla dress, which are all floaty things that cry gypsy, fortune teller and fairy-like essence and fantastical joy all in one. I can just see myself slipping on one of these beauties (aren't they all so magically crafted in 50 shades of rainbow??) to a fancy dinner or just as easily wear it to Coachella (well... I'd shoot it at Coachella and then change to something I'm less attached to). Too bad these friends price at $500 a pop. Can't afford that just yet...maybe if she comes out with a hoodie + pocketed version. Just sayin.
Anyway, check out their website here. Some pretty insane editorial shots that will leave you drooling.
