chunky leopard mary-janes and the little plaid dress

Times Square (NYC) Forever 21 is a lifesaver - they're open until 2 am almost every night. I work some pretty crazy hours (why I'm only a weekend "mini-adventurer" =\) so when I need major retail therapy, I can thank the butterflies that I can waddle over to the giant shopping space. I spotted these gray platform leopard mary-janes on the leftover / uglies rack (ie. clearance) and didn't even bother trying them on. Guess how much they were?

 

 

$5! Unreal, right? I like to think that these are some of the preppiest shoes I own but I've been yearning for a chunky heel, reminiscent of those miu miu sparrow platforms, forever. Not the biggest fan of gray, either, but I'm in the process of DIY-ing some major bling on these babies. Glad I've befriend E6000 industrial glue as my new bestie ... well, that and pastel rhinestones. :)

 

Also, I'm coining the term "LPD" right now for little plaid dress. These mod-chic dresses are everywhere and I'm dreaming of impersonating Twiggy every breathing moment. Not really, but maybe....
