I like to think of "hobovogue" as my unleashing of creative ideas and an avenue of sharing my aesthetic view with those who visit this site, and hopefully my vision of what is beautiful inspires others to explore, develop and manifest their creative vision as well :)
With that in mind, I'd like you all to and old friend of mine - the giant rainbow dot umbrella!
Unfortunately, this little buddy sort of fell apart post-snowstorm sophomore year of college. Confession: I'm a sad hoarder and have kept the PVC part of the umbrella to this day.... ANYWAY. Through my recent zippering adventure of Ms. Tsumori (see post below), here's some inspiration for what I think I may transform it into through some serious hand-sewing and craft shop hunting....
A Pashli-inspired Umbrella tote! Ha. The explanation - my wallet is wearing thin due to my recent compulsive shopping habits, so I'm making a pact to all my readers to not buy anything for a whole two months! Every look you'll be seeing here from February through March will be an item already in the hobovogue art collection (yes, I do think of fashion as art). Hopefully this won't be too boring - there is a whole backlog of accessories and thrift shop finds I have yet to style sitting around in my apartment... hehe!)
Anyway, going to go exploring tomorrow to observe the Pashli in person and to find some hardware to piece this vision together. Any suggestions.... ? :D Also, please feel free to let me know if you think this could be a disaster. I'm thinking some piping on the edges could help avoid some disaster.
